The Humpback is a sculptural tissue holder hand sculpted in raw concrete. Its rigid organic form was shaped slowly by hand, no two pieces are identical. Designed to sit on a desk, a bedside table, your dining area or your coffee table, and earn its place as an object worth noticing.

- Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, they strip the sealer
- Surface may lighten slightly over years of use, this is natural ageing

Each piece begins with an armature shaped entirely by hand. This is where the form is decided, not with a mould but with an instinct. Concrete is mixed and applied in multiple layers. Each layer dries fully before the surface is worked into a finishing coat that is smoothed by hand. A sealer goes on, then a gloss coat. What you receive is the result of eight to ten days of making with love, care and precision.
How it's made.

A structure is shaped entirely by hand, forming the bones of the piece.
The house concrete mix is applied to the armature by hand in different layers. Each layer takes time and is left to dry completely before the next begins.
Once the concrete is set, the surface is worked progressively until it finds its finish. This is the slowest part of making.
A sealer is applied followed by a gloss coat. The Grey Ink Lab seal is pressed in.
Every piece is made after your order is placed . Allow 8-10 working days. This is not a delay, it is how we ensure wach piece receive the full time it needs to be made properly,
Surface texture, weight and tone vary between pieces. This is not inconsistency, it is the material itself. The photographs show one version of this object, yours will be its own.
Concrete is not static. Over time it responds differently to light, develops subtle tonal shifts, and settles into its environment. The piece you own in five years will look slightly different from the one you received not worn, just lived-in. This is what the material does when it's given time.
Every piece cures for atleast 48 hours before it is touched. This is what gives concrete its weight and density.
